To take full advantage of all of this service's features (browsing of Tables of Contents, searching the databases, viewing PDF, etc.), the following software configuration is recommended:
A graphical WWW browser that supports the following browser features which are widely accepted as the current industry standard in web browsers:
HTML forms
User authentication
Table extensions to the HTML specifications
Cookies (enabled)
Javascript (enabled)
The latest versions of Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer are recommended to view the abstracts in the database "views" properly.
Since the Article Collection feature requires JavaScript support to work optimally, please upgrade to the latest versions of either Netscape or MSIE should you wish to use it.
As stated, authentication is required in order to enforce the publisher's subscription controls over its journals. This control is based on Netscape software products, and depends on the Netscape "cookie" mechanism to authenticate and track both individual and institutional users throughout the system. While browsers that do not support this mechanism may function adequately, AIP OJS technical support in regard to authentication problems will NOT be extended to users who are not running either Netscape Navigator (version 2.0 or higher) or Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 2.0 or higher).
Adobe Acrobat Reader - IMPORTANT: Proper display of full-text PDF papers in the ASA Digital Library requires Adobe Reader 5.0 or higher. PDF's have been produced using Adobe Acrobat 5 or greater and the PDF creation software is not backward compatible. If you have an earlier version of Adobe Reader, you may click here to download the current version: Download current version of Adobe Reader
